The Democrats have come up with a number of big government Stimulus bills over the years that throw taxpayer dollars at perceived problems, but this current abomination is the most radical transfer of wealth they have concocted to move us toward Socialism – a system that has never succeeded anywhere, at anytime in history.
Of course, many Liberals admire our nearest totalitarian regime, Cuba, where everyone id dependent upon the state and, except for the elite, everyone is happy because they are equally poor regardless of education or endeavor. They may live in equal squalor, but all have free medical care. It is axiomatic that once the door to socialism opens, it never closes, only opens wider. Nobel price winner Milton Friedman said the U.S. is on the boundary between Capitalism and Socialism, if he were alive today, I am sure he would say that Obama has put us on the slippery slope toward a full welfare state. The DemPols have taken control of the banking and auto industry, justifying such actions because they had provided funds for recovery – a recovery that has not taken place. Mind you, they have not nationalized the banks; that would remove any chance of deniability for them in case of total failure. They have, however, assumed for themselves enough control to screw up the system the way they always do in such situations.
Thomas Jefferson said, “Once the bureaucrats give you money, they own you. “A government big enough to give you everything you want, is big enough to take away everything you have.”
